St. Cloud, MN Dance Careers at Ms Melindas

Ms. Melinda’s Dance Studio has expanded with the opening of our larger state or the art facility. We are seeking additional instructors to add to our talented team. We are looking for highly trained, charismatic, high energy individuals with strong personal communication skills; those who want to be a part of growing our community of dancers for the better of the future on and off the dance floor and are excited to share their passion for dance.

General Dance Instructor Requirements: Must have studio experience in Jazz, Tap, Lyrical and Ballet. Has a strong knowledge of terminology and skills sets in all genres. Ability to work with all ages and levels from recreational to advance dancers, follow curriculum and be able to test students on skills and terms. Applicants must have choreography experience, at least 1 year of teaching or assisting. Position is part time at an hourly rate.

Ballet Instructor requirements: Must have ballet experience, a strong knowledge of ballet terms and techniques. Position requires experience on Pointe and stage performance experience. Ability to test students and keep detailed records on all students. Choreography skills are highly encouraged but not required for this position. Must have at least 1 year of teaching or assisting experience. Position is part time and some weekends. Hourly pay rate.

Hip Hop Instructor requirements: Must have experience as a Hip Hop dancer in the studio setting. Ability to teach multiple areas of styles and skills. Including Commercial /New style, Tutting, Turfing, Popping and/or Krumping. Candidates should have at least 1 year of teaching experience, have knowledge and the ability to choregraph. Position is part time at an hourly rate.

Acrobatic Dance Instructor Requirements: Must have experience in tumbling/ gymnastics, plus experience of dance. Candidates should have a strong knowledge of tumbling, strength training, flexibility and choreography. All candidates must be able to test skills and spot advanced level dancers with tricks, such as aerials, back handsprings and tucks. Position is a part time at an hourly rate.

  • Hip Hop Hip Hop Hip Hop is one of the hottest trends today. Learn free form movements and choreography done to hip hop or pop music.
  • Ballet & Pointe Ballet & Pointe Pointe classes are offered to students who have outstanding ballet technique and would like to expand their training in the most advanced form of dance.
  • Acrobatic Dance Acrobatic Dance Designed to promote excellence in flexibility, strength, balance, limbering, tumbling, basic contortion and partner/group stunting for dancers.
  • Competition Teams Competition Teams For students who would like to perform and compete on a higher level of dance.
