Ms. Melinda’s Dance Studio is an award winning dance studio in the St. Cloud area. Ms Melinda’s is a place for students and families to establish long lasting relationships on and off the dance floor. We strive to improve dance ability, self confidence and leadership skills in a clean, safe and professional environment. Ms Melinda Tamm /CEO /Instructor
Melinda Tamm is the owner and instructor of Ms. Melinda’s Dance Studio. Melinda graduated from St. Cloud State University with a B.S. in Education. She has 30 years of experience in all areas of dance, including 22 years as an instructor for all ages and abilities. She also spent multiple years as a professional NFL cheerleader, dancer and choreographer.
Rebecca Gross / DIRECTOR of Dance/ Instructor
Rebecca, (AKA “Becka”) graduated from the College of Saint Benedict/Saint John’s University in 2012. While at college, she performed on the St. Ben’s Dance Team, coached the Saint John’s Preparatory School Dance Team and choreographed four musicals. Rebecca has been trained in jazz, lyrical, tap, ballet, musical theater, hip hop, pointe, and contemporary.
Paige Lorentz / Online Communications Director / Instructor
Paige is a Junior at St. Cloud State University this year and is on her eleventh year at Ms. Melinda’s Dance Studio. This is Paige’s seventh year on our teaching staff and teaches straight from her heart and looks forward to helping dancers grow. Paige has recently won 4 overall top awards for her dances plus the highest scoring petite dance.
Abigail Albro / Instructor
Abi has been teaching students of all ages for 7 years, but is beginning her third year of teaching at Ms. Melinda’s. She is currently a Junior at St. Cloud State University where she is perusing a degree in Marketing and a minor in Mass Communication. In addition to studying at SCSU, Abi is also the founder and creative director of H2Crew, SCSU’s hip-hop dance club. She has been dancing for 17 years, and among those, 6 have been competitively. Abi specializes in hip-hop, but has also been trained in areas such as: ballet, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, tap, musical theatre, and modern.
Madeline Bojar / Instructor
Madeline is a Senior at the College of Saint Benedict where she is an Economics major. She previously danced for Hopkins Dance Center for 13 years, 10 of which were competitive. Along with competitive dance she was also involved in Keane Sense of Rhythm for three years and Hopkins Youth Ballet for four years. Madeline has been trained in ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, and pointe
Jerome Akubue / Hip Hop Instructor
Jerome is a senior at St. Cloud State studying bio-medical sciences. He enjoys dancing and has trained in hip-hop and continue by watching new tends and following some of the best hip hop dancers in the industry. This is Jerome first year teaching at Ms. Melinda’s dance studio and he is as eager to learn, as he is to instruct.
Eleanor Babcock / Director of Ballet/ Instructor
Eleanor Babcock is the Director of Ballet and lead ballet instructor for Ms. Melinda’s Dance Studio. Eleanor danced ballet for 11 years at a variety of ballet studios including Minnesota Dance Theatre in Minneapolis, Minnesota and the Academy of Russian Ballet in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. Her passion for ballet and the use of ballet to enhance other types of dance is her main focus when she teaches. Eleanor is currently a Junior attending the College of St. Benedict studying Environmental Studies and Communications. To stay active she enjoys running and is a part of the Nordic skiing team at CSB/SJU.
Cassandra Evans/ Instructor
Cassandra in a Freshman at College of Saint Benedict’s. This is her third year on the Ms. Melinda’s Dance Studio Teaching staff. Cassandra has been a part of the Ms. Melinda’s Dance studio family for eleven years and teaching all styles of dance. Cassandra specializing in tap where she has won multiple awards as a tap soloist. Cassandra is excited to bring her expertise to our team and to your dancers.
Maggie K / TEACHER
Maggie is a Sophomore at the College of Saint Benedict. She is studying Biology and Spanish. Maggie graduated from Park High School where she danced on their Varsity Jazz and High Kick teams for three years. She has had experience with Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Ballet, and High Kick. Maggie is looking forward to her second year at Ms. Melinda’s, and excited to work with dancers and parents.
Madison Peitz / TEACHER
Madison has been dancing for 16 years, 11 of them dancing competitively, regionally and nationally, for Chanhassen Dance and Performing Arts Center in Chanhassen, MN. She also danced on the Waconia Lakettes dance team. Madison is beginning her second year with the competitive dance team at St. Ben’s. She is trained in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip hop and pom.
Marah Berscheit / TEACHER
Marah is returning to the Ms. Melinda’s Dance Studio staff as a third year teacher. She has been teaching dance for 14 years to students of all ages. Marah has an Elementary education degree and currently works full time at Scheels. In her spare time Marah enjoys spending time with her husband and son. Marah is excited to get to know all of your children this season and looks forward to furthering their dance education.
Kelsey Nelson / TEACHER
Kelsey is a returning teacher. Her smile will brighten any room and her warm personality encourages her students to strive for their personal best. Kelsey is returning to the staff for the her forth year and looks forward to working with all the students.
Anna Pille / Assistant
Anna is in her first year on the Ms. Melinda’s Teaching staff. She is a featured dancers on Show Stars Competitive Team, Super Crew, Small Group Member All Star Team and Soloist. Her positive energy and attitude is contagious, making her an outstanding leader in the studio for all dancers younger and older. Anna is looking forward to helping your dancer grow on and off the dance floor this year!
