Ms. Melinda’s Dance Studio is an award winning dance studio in the St. Cloud area. Ms Melinda’s is a place for students and families to establish long lasting relationships on and off the dance floor. We strive to improve dance ability, self confidence and leadership skills in a clean, safe and professional environment. Ms Melinda Tamm /CEO /Instructor
Melinda is the founder, owner and CEO of Ms. Melinda’s Dance Studio. She has over t years of experience in all areas of dance, including 25 years as an instructor for all ages and abilities. She also spent multiple years as a professional NFL cheerleader, dancer and choreographer. Melinda graduated from St. Cloud State University with a B.S. in Education. Melinda has won multiple choreography and performance awards throughout the years. She is also a community leader, serving on the Paramount board of directors, the Holly Ball planning committee and volunteering for the Women’s Fund.
Rebecca Gross / Director of Dance/ Instructor
Rebecca has been teaching dance for over 10 years and is in her seventh season with Ms. Melinda’s. She has won multiple choreography awards in the styles of tap, jazz and lyrical. Rebecca graduated from the College of Saint Benedict in 2012. While at college, she performed on the St. Ben’s Dance Team, coached the St. John’s Prep School Dance Team and choreographed four musicals. During the day, Rebecca is a full time Business Development Manager for a non-profit in St. Cloud and serves on the St. Ben’s Board of Alumnae.
Abigail Albro / Instructor
Abi has been teaching students of all ages for eight years, and is in her fourth year of teaching at Ms. Melinda’s. She is currently a senior at St. Cloud State University where she is perusing a degree in Marketing and a minor in Mass Communication. In addition to studying at SCSU, Abi is also the founder and creative director of H2Crew, SCSU’s hip-hop dance club. She has been dancing for nearly 20 years, and among those, six have been competitively. Abi specializes in hip-hop, but has also been trained in areas such as ballet, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, tap, musical theatre, and modern.
Kelsey Nelson /Instructor
Kelsey is a Ms. Melinda’s alumna who is going into her fifth year of teaching. She is currently a student at St. Cloud State University, pursuing a degree in nursing. Kelsey always encourages her students to strive for their personal best and is looking forward to working with them this season. She teaches all ages, from Tiny Tots to high school competitive teams, in the styles of tap, jazz, ballet and lyrical. If she’s not dancing, Kelsey is working at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Cassandra Evans /Instructor
Cassandra is a sophomore at College of Saint Benedict and is planning to major in Economics. This is her fourth year on the Ms. Melinda’s Dance Studio teaching staff. Cassandra has been a part of the Ms. Melinda’s Dance studio family for twelve years and teaches jazz, tap, ballet, pointe and lyrical. She also specializes in tap where she has won multiple awards as a tap soloist. Cassandra is excited to bring her expertise to our team and to your dancers.
Maggie Katzameir /Instructor
Maggie is currently a senior at the College of Saint Benedict studying psychology. She graduated from Park High School in Cottage Grove where she danced on their Varsity Jazz and High Kick teams for three years. She has had experience with tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical and high kick. Maggie is looking forward to her fourth year at Ms. Melinda’s, and excited to work with dancers and parents. In addition to dance and school, Maggie had the opportunity to study abroad in Ireland for a semester back in 2016.
Marah Berscheit / Instructor
Marah is returning to the Ms. Melinda’s staff as a fifth year teacher. She has been teaching dance for 17 years to students of all ages. Marah has an Early Childhood Education degree from St. Cloud State University and currently works full time at Scheels. In her spare time Marah enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids. She is excited to get to know all of your children this season and looks forward to furthering their dance education.
Andrea Fenstad / Instructor
Andrea is a first year teacher at Ms. Melinda’s, but has over 16 years of teaching experience collectively. She graduated from NDSU in 2007 with an Apparel & Textiles major and Public Relations and Art minors. While at NDSU, Andrea was on the dance team and performed in many shows. She has been trained in ballet, jazz, tap, musical theater and hip hop, in addition to being Barre certified. Today Andrea lives in Sartell with her husband and son Henry. She also enjoys walking, running, decorating, painting and traveling with her family.
Molly Meier/ Instructor
Molly has been a dance teacher for five years and this is her first year on Ms. Melinda’s staff. She lives in Sartell with her husband and kids. Molly has taught Kindergarten for six years and is currently at Pleasantview in Sauk Rapids. Her Elementary Education degree is from Concordia College in Moorhead. Molly has been trained in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, musical theater and lyrical. She has also lead youth theater dance camps and has choreographed multiple high school musicals. Outside of teaching, she enjoys photography, music and theater, and spending time with her family.
Jerome Akubue /Instructor
Jerome is a senior at St. Cloud State University studying Bio-Medical Sciences, with plans to go to medical school. He is trained in hip hop and continues to learn by watching new tends and following some of the best hip hop dancers in the industry. This is Jerome’s second year teaching at Ms. Melinda’s Dance Studio and he is as eager to learn, as he is to instruct.
Haley Hubbard /Instructor
Haley has been leading the Acrobatic Dance program at Ms. Melinda’s for three years now. She is a first year student at the College of Saint Benedict and plans to major in Accounting-Finance with a minor in Communication. Haley was in gymnastics for 16 years, 13 of which were competitive. She qualified for the Minnesota State gymnastics meet with her team three times, and individually on floor exercise for a total of four times. Haley loves getting to meet young dancers and teach them new tricks to utilize in their dances! She also enjoys spending time with friends and family.
Aubree Lahr /Instructor
Aubree joined the staff as an acrobatic dance instructor at Ms. Melinda’s this year. She was in gymnastics for 12 years, and her high school team made it to the state tournament three times. Aubree is a first year at the College of Saint Benedict and plans to major in biology for pre physical therapy. Her hobbies include spending time with my family and friends and swimming, tubing, and wake boarding in the summer.
Katie George / Instructor
Katie danced at Ms. Melinda’s for ten years and is a first year teacher, though she has also been on the office staff team for two years now. She is currently a sophomore at St. Cloud State planning to major in Bio Medical Sciences and minor in Forensic Science and Chemistry. Katie is currently on the St. Cloud State Dance Team and has been trained in all styles, with a focus on ballet. She also loves to read, listen to music and hang out with her family.
Brittney Ayers / Instructor
Brittney is first year teacher at Ms. Melinda’s. She is currently a sophomore at the College of Saint Benedict majoring in Global Business and minoring in Communication. Brittney was both a competitive studio dancer and on the Hill Murray Dance Team in high school. Now, she’s on the St. Ben’s Dance Team and also enjoys running, hiking, yoga, strength training and photography. Brittney has been teaching for over three years and has been trained in many styles including ballet, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, tap, musical theater, pointe, contemporary and ballroom.
Megan Thooft / Assistant
Megan is a current senior at Sartell High School. This is her 10th year dancing at Ms. Melinda’s and her second year teaching. Megan is looking forward to attending college in the Central Minnesota area next year to continue teaching. She is a dancer on the Show Stars competitive line and will do a musical theatre tap solo this year. Megan loves to dance wherever she is and loves sharing her passion with others.
Amber Linn / Assistant
Amber has been dancing at Ms. Melinda’s for seven years, and this is her third year on the teaching staff. She dances on the Show Stars competitive line and does a lyrical solo. Amber is a senior at Tech High School and involved in many extra curricular activities including the National Honor Society, We Act, and Montage. When not dancing or studying, she also takes time to volunteer at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Olivia Plamann / Assistant
Olivia has been dancing at Ms. Melinda’s Dance Studio for nine years, and this is her fourth year on the teaching staff. She dances on the Show Stars competitive line and does a lyrical solo. Olivia is currently a junior at Sartell High School and is on the dance team there. During her free time, Olivia likes to play with her dogs.
Anna Satre / Assistant
Anna has been dancing at Ms. Melinda’s for seven years, and this is her second year on the teaching staff. She dances on the Dream Team competitive line and does a lyrical solo. She is currently a junior at Sauk Rapids High School and also enjoys running, hiking and art. Anna loves teaching at Ms. Melinda’s and wouldn’t trade her teaching moments for the world.
Anna Pille / Assistant
Anna has been dancing at Ms. Melinda’s for 11 years, and this is her second year as a teaching assistant. She is in 9th grade at Sartell High School. Other than dance, Anna likes to binge watch television, go bike riding, and hang out with friends. Her favorite style of dance is contemporary, and she enjoys sharing her love for dance with others.
Ella Plamann / Assistant
Ella is a first time teaching assistant at Ms. Melinda’s Dance Studio, but has been dancing at the studio for eleven years. She dances on the Dream Team competitive line and does a tap solo. Ella is currently in 9th grade at Sartell High School. She is excited to assist and share her love of dance with younger students.
